Review:
          I was hoping that this book would be as good as the first book in the series, The Body Finder. I was wrong, it was even better! The mystery was intriguing, the characters were interesting and the story was well paced and beautifully worded. I just have to say that I love Jay. He is such a great guy. I wish that Violet opened up earlier on to him but I think the story was more tense because she didn't. I also liked the new characters that were introduced, they kept me wondering what was going to happen next. I'm so looking forward to the next book. A great read!

 The cover is okay, it matches the first. I had it on my desk at work and other people mentioned how pretty it was.

Recent Disappointments

            I was so dissapointed. I couldn't finish either of these books. I tried but after forcing my self to read almost half  of each I got a point where I rolled my eyes and said out lound " Oh my God, you have got to be kidding me". Thats about the time I admit I've wasted money and stop wasting my time and trash it.

Review:
   This was a really enjoyable teen read. The only thing that bothered me was some of the banter that went on in Evie's head got to be annoying. Maybe I expected her to be more mature than is normal for her age.Lend was great! He was a totally new and unique kind of being for me to encounter. It was refreshing to read a character with properties that I haven't thought about before.

Review:

    I have been having trouble finding a book good enough to finish lately. This book has been on my daughters shelf for 10 years. I've had my eye on it for a while and now I wish I had picked it up long ago. This short read was a nice break for me.  I like reading about this period in history and this book was well done. It was written to be appropriate enough for kids and engaging enough for an adult to keep turning the pages. I found myself disappointed when it ended.

Review:

   Another hit for Martin! I really enjoyed this book. The contemporary romance section is a little slim these days. I think they are more of a challenge for romance writers. There are less situation that present obstacles to couples now than there were in the past.  In "Body Check", Martin has given us two strong characters, each very likable. Both care very much for each other but are afraid that the relationship will risk careers that they both have worked so hard for. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Review:
   This book was just okay for me. Some of the writing is so profound it feel like this could be an epic and then the characters turn out to be such a disappointment.
 Ari lives in a house that she isn't free to roam in, with a dad she really doesn't know and a cook that doesn't like her and it takes half of the book for her to start asking why. Her fathers lack of feeling towards her, his lack of reaction at her moms leaving and Ari's leaving and then showing up again all bothered me. Her mom's lack of  emotion and reaction bothered me too! And how come after everything is revealed, Malcolm is still hanging around? I just don't get these characters and how passive they all are, it killed the story for me.

Review:
      This book was such a nice read. Sinead and Adam are both very emotionally guarded people. It was wonderful to see them open up and become vunerable. The relationship developed in a believable way and the story was sexy and sweet enough. I thought the dialogue was really good, real and fresh. I went and bought the first book in this series!
